IMPRINTING I-IV

 

Exhibited at the MFA (Master of Fine Art) Exhibition at Cardiff School of Art + Design, 2010

 

‘Imprinting I-IV’ comprises of four installations forming a labyrinth of a domestic environment, representing misremembered fragments from Becky’s childhood home.  Completed at the end of studying for her Master of Fine Art, Becky was interested in traces or imprints which lead the mind to imagine what was rather than being presented with accurate facts.  This was inspired by the process of ‘indexing’, a term coined by Peggy Phelan.
