I'M THINKING OF YOU

'I’m thinking of You' is a virtual postcard project by Gwent Arts in Health, inviting people to connect with themselves and others during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Over 12 weeks, the project has a key target audience of young people and the wider Gwent communities and key workers. A different artist is commissioned each day to create a bespoke postcard that invites people to respond in some way.

 

For Becky's postcard, she was interested in how we can be encouraged to think with our senses on paper, creating sensory menus - ways we can re-create the scent, texture, taste, smell of something we miss during lockdown at home.

 

The public are encouraged to dream positively (and wildly) about their ultimate, fantastical scent, sight, sound and taste. Think of Roald Dahl’s ‘Everlasting Gobstopper’ and that’s the realm of thinking this menu is exploring.
